Atlanta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Atlanta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Did I just build the perfect bakery sampler in Atlanta? π Meet the Stefan Sampler at Evergreen Butcher + Baker in Kirkwood: π Cherry pistachio financier: a small, buttery almond-style cake with cherry and pistachio. π« Blueberry muffin: simple, classic and loaded with blueberry goodness. πͺ Oatmeal raisin pecan cookie: chewy, nutty, a little sweet and basically everything I want in an oatmeal cookie. π₯ Kouign-amann: the star of the show. A buttery, sugar-laminated Breton pastry from Brittany, France, with a crisp caramelized exterior and flaky layers inside. Its roots trace back to one of Franceβs historic Celtic regions. Evergreen is part bakery, part butcher shop and part neighborhood market, with breads, pastries, quality meats and a small selection of goods you can take home. The people working there could not have been friendlier, which made the whole stop even better. And apparently I picked the wrong day for one of their most famous items: the cheeseburger. Itβs the Sunday sandwich special, so I already have a reason to come back. Until then, Iβm claiming the Stefan Sampler.

This place has quality absolutely nailed. Everything they offer is top notch and the staff is the friendliest. I always like to try an almond croissant when I travel or try a new place. Theirs was hands-down the best Iβve ever had. Canβt wait to come back and try their sourdough!

Evergreen has the best Kouign Ammans - buttery, flakey, and caramely - simple perfection. Their brown butter coconut cookies are scrumptious too - big flakes of coconut, buttery, chewy goodness with crispy edges. I could eat a dozen of those and the oatmeal raisin (same chewiness, crisp, and a taste of cinnamon). Drove from Lβville and it was worth the drive. A short wait but not bad at all - I arrived about 9:30am on Sunday and waited maybe 15 minutes. Now I gotta try and make it down here for their famous burgersβ¦

This is honestly some of the best bread Iβve ever had. Here is absolutely worth the wait. Every time Iβve gone thereβs been a line, but it moves surprisingly fast. The staff have also been consistently friendly each time I visit. The Sunday cheeseburger is fantastic β if you enjoy a strong, beefy flavor, youβll probably love it even more. Personally, I think it would be even better with tomato and lettuce added, or with a bit more pickle for balance. One small downside is that the burger by itself feels a little pricey without fries or a side. That said, the quality and flavor are really great. Iβve already been here three times, which says a lot. Definitely a spot Iβll keep coming back to!!!

This is hands-down my favorite bakery in Atlanta! I love that they use 100% organic flour sourced from local mills for all their breads and pastries β everything is made from scratch daily, and you can really taste the difference. Their sourdough is truly the best Iβve ever had. The garlic potato sourdough has real pieces of potato and the perfect hint of garlic β I was so excited to make a sandwich with it, but honestly, itβs incredible just with butter or jam. They also have an amazing selection of pastries. Usually pastries feel heavy or processed, but everything here tastes clean and made with care. I felt great even after indulging! You must try the monkey bread and canelΓ© β the contrast between the crispy exterior and the chewy, custardy interior is absolutely perfect. The monkey bread in particular is a fluffy, melt-in-your-mouth version of a cinnamon bun, with just the right amount of orange zest that adds a bright, citrusy balance to its rich sweetness. Evergreen also has a butcher section offering fresh, locally sourced meats. You can find high-quality cuts to take home, and every Sunday they serve cheeseburgers made with their own fresh-ground beef. They also have hom
